Pérouges

Rhône-Alpes

At the top of a hill, Pérouges is curled around its shaded square.

An old village of weavers and wine-growers in the 14th and 15th, Pérouges has kept between its two gates, Porte d’en Haut et Porte d’en Bas, an exceptional heritage in spite of the several sieges it had to resist. The fortress-church, the house of the princes of Savoy, the Cazin and Vernay houses are some of the marvels that you can admire as you amble along the uneven cobbled streets, forgetting about time.

What to discover?
