Saint-Côme-d`Olt

Midi-Pyrénées

Located in the peaceful Lot valley, Saint Côme stands on thanks to its flame-shape bell-tower and the charm of its houses.

The village was built inside the ditches of the medieval city, of which 3 fortified gates remain. The 12th penitents’ chapel has a v-shape roof. The manor of the local lords, redone in the 15th, has a renaissance façade and 2 towers. The streets have kept some medieval shops and ancient mansions. L’Ouradou, with its octagonal roof, is attributed to the 1586 plague victims.
