The Monaco Monte Carlo Principality is an incredible place, which you cannot miss during your trip in Southern France.
What to discover?

Monaco - Monte Carlo is one of the smallest states in the World (195 hectares, that is to say 482 acres, between the Mediterranean sea and the mountains). Actually, it is a "state in the state" with its own Constitution and His Serene Highness the Prince of Monaco, who is currently the Prince Rainier. He was married to Grace Kelly till her fatal car accident.

The Grimaldi family reigns over the "Rock" for 700 years. Despite its restricted space, Monte-Carlo is an enchanting place, where everything is combined for entertainment and leisure. This town is a heaven of peace and serenity.

The oceanographic museum with its gigantic aquarium full of sharks and coral, the casino, the opera house and the princely Palace are magnificent buildings designed by renowned architects such as Charles Garnier. Furthermore, Monte-Carlo is a city of marine thermal baths in unique surroundings in front of the turquoise Mediterranean, which offers you the benefits of its trace elements.

Monte-Carlo is the international capital of luxury. The "golden ring" (delimited by Monte-Carlo avenue, Beaux Arts avenue and the allee des lumieres) is full of prestigious fashion-designers and jewelry shops: Louis Vuitton, Hermes, Chanel, Bulgari, Cartier, Chopard and many others.

The Casino is magical and crowded with the most famous and richest people in the world. All of them gather for one of the major events of the year: the Monaco Formula One Grand Prix, which takes place in the streets of the city. The nights are marvelous: charity dinner or gala organized by the Grimaldi family in its Palace, dancing in night-clubs such as The Living Room, gambling in the Casino.

You must not forget the lushness of Monte-Carlo's surroundings. The major cities of the French Riviera such as Nice and its Promenade des Anglais or Cannes and its Croisette are just a few miles away. The countryside just inland from Monaco is bursting with fabulous landscapes and vivid villages such as Eze, or Sainte-Agnès, Coaraze, Gourdon or Gassin, which belong to the Most Beautiful Villages of France.
